Naps May Be Good for Baby’s Brain

A new study suggests that napping babies are not just resting – they might also be busy learning and memorizing.

The lead author of the study, Sabine Seehagen, a postdoctoral researcher at Ruhr University Bochum in Germany,  suggests that “but maybe babies lose some information if they don’t nap after learning. They need a break to work on the information they got. This adds one more reason why it’s a good idea to read or do other activities around reading before bedtime.”
