Eat Fish: It May Reduce Risk For Heart Disease

A new scientific study provides ample evidence that consumption of fish and seafood high in omega-3 fatty acid protects against cardiovascular disease.

The study, published online Monday in Annals of Internal Medicine analyzes “blood tests and years of clinical exams and confirms that higher blood levels of omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk for heart disease and death in people over age 65.”

Other benefits of omega-3 fatty acids are physiological well being, reduced heart rate, lower blood pressure and lower triglyceride production. Read more.
